The 82- year old Sabine Ball has lived a dynamic life that has impacted many. Forced to flee from her home in Königsberg, she traveled to Dresden where she survived the horriffic Dresden bombing in 1945. She completed an apprenticeship in hotel management in the US, was head of a Miami yacht club, married a millionaire, founded a hippie-community in California and so on.

1993 - Back in Germany, her heart went out to kids from problematic families in Dresden Neustadt. She wanted to help them get free from drugs, alcohol and crime. Sabine gave them the time, warmth, meals, clothes and hope they needed.

Until her death on July, 7th 2009, Sabine Ball concentrated her activities in Dresden. She met people on the streets or talked with them at her apartment at stoffwechsel e.V.. Occasionally she was also on the road, speaking at schools, prisons, women’s breakfast meetings, TV shows and also in communities. Wherever she went she spoke freely of her life experiences and was thus able to encourage and challenge others to surrender their lives entirely to God's will - because every human being is endlessly precious in God's eyes.
