WHAT?
Building booths, sitting at the campfire or splashing around in the water ad libitum - that won't work in a city?
All this will be possible at our adventure playground. It will be built in a socially deprived district in Dresden. Kids will have the opportunity to take part in the design of a free area and to test themselves in it.
A boy scout's abilities and skills such as orientation by map and compass, knots, ties, rope techniques and first aid will be learned at our adventure playground. Just as important for us is the imparting of values such as honesty, readiness to help and loyality that make a real scout.
Those gripped by adventure will be connected to a Royal Rangers scout group.
WHY?
This project addresses the children's lack of experience in dealing with nature and the elements as well as materials and tools.
The childlike urge for adventure can be developed here - they will experience nature in the city.
We challenge the kids to become active and to develop social skills through fellowship. As individuals as well as in the group they will experience that they are worthy and useful.
We will support the children in finding a meaningful life by encouraging and guiding them in a practical life with God.
WHO?
children from 6 to 13 years of age
The project develops in cooperation with the Christian Scouts Royal Rangers.
WHERE?
in a socially deprived district in Dresden - the exact place is not yet certain
